Don't throw out the wet feed! They can still eat it. Switch it out with dry but use the wet food as a treat. Like oatmeal. You could even add some chopped veggies to it. I'd check into freezing the wet stuff too? then just reheat for a treat.
Scratch and peck is whole grains right?? They are fine wet, just call them soaked grains ;)

Nice, lucky you. So are two brown and one black? Hope so
They're all pure chocolate, so I'm told. The light wasn't perfect for the pics. I got them from Louise Clark in Monroe, I believe she goes by kidcody on BYC. She got her birds from Marc Sarc (did I get the last name right??).

I'm getting some of Rising Star's blue/black chicks next week! Woo-hoo!

When it arrives, we go pick it up in Aberdeen.
These little cameras are so awesome !
Connect to a small TV and/or a DVD recorder & review the next day on FF and be amazed at what you see going on.
You can watch your kids outside (set the little TV up on your kitchen counter for example)
Or spy on neighbors

Set it up in-coop & watch your birds or broodies.

Euthanasia is always a terribly rough decision to make. The cat I let go when I was 13 and the two old dogs I had euth. 5yrs ago (they left 8m apart from each other) still cause tears out of the blue.
How cool that she was able to have all that experience and now start a great career! I once thought I was going to show dogs and started training for it, but the "tutoring" I was getting I felt was leading nowhere so I moved on. I enjoyed 6yrs working as veterinary assistant instead. Loved the type of work (minus assisting with euthanasias), hated the varying and long hours!
Love all the above mentioned breeds, especially Newfies!!! I also have a Cocker. She is a brown and tan and is the friendliest little thing!
Just out of high school I did work as a Vet Kennel Assistant & did have to help with a few euthanasia's, help with porkipine quill removel, shaving pets while they were asleep etc. I had thought about being a Vet Tech but didn't enjoy high school, got a c average, so didn't really want to do more schooling. I found a Cocker Breeder that needed help with her kennels so we did a trade for her teaching me to groom dogs. I love it, that was 14yrs ago this month that I had started that. After working in several grooming shops I started a mobile grooming business, so nice to have the freedom to schedule the way I want to, call it a long day or a light day. I built it almost 5yrs ago so that my daughter, 3yrs at the time, could come with me so we didn't need a babysitter. I now juggle my schedule around her school days & hrs. With school out last week she is now with me all the time, she does help me a good amount although sometimes she seems to slow me down if she gets her stubborn streak. Over all its fun having her with me as she's almost 8yrs.
I love showing dogs only if the breed isn't popular. I enjoyed showing our Parson Russell Terrier back in 00' to 03' cause he was a new breed but by 03' it got really hard to show cause the breed started getting taken over by handlers & judges were picking the handlers rather then the dog.
We had got a cocker from the breeder that trained me in grooming 3yrs ago but being a good 10yrs older from when she trained me, her health was going down hill fast so I didn't get advice from her. The cocker being our 3rd dog & my business getting busy I found i didn't have time to work with her like I had with my other 2 older dogs. So they were behaved & the cocker not. She got in so much trouble around the house & digging the back yard up & bringing it on her feet, my allergies going nuts. It was just too much & then the breeder had us on a contract to show & breed her. I couldn't handle it so i had to give her back last yr. I do miss her as she loved to be groomed & enjoyed meeting new people. But it is so nice not to have the dog that stressed me out all the time around.

Hi CL!! Anything exciting happen while I was gone??
The camera sounds like a lot of FUNN.

Almost like a James Bond movie.
Is something going on at your part of the woods that needs a camera??
I need one too. It would be good to film my neighbour's dog come fertilize my yard.

BUT my excuse would be because something stole 4 of my pretty ducks.
Last week, 2 babies vanished into thin air.
Then a few days ago, 2 adults went bye bye too.
the 7week old babies were in a tractor.
The adults...not sure in open pen or closed pen when they were "abducted".

How come they cant just take the boy ducks.
No feathers, no blood.
