Please everyone , leave a comment on this site, she seriously needs to clarify we "free range hobbyists" are humane and caring for our poultry.
I so dislike people like this who group all chicken raisers into one group and want to denounce us all.

She never said STORE BOUGHT EGGS she just says "free range eggs" of which I sell.
Dang, I'll never get back the 2 min I spent reading that chicken dodoo. Amazing there are people like this and they breed and vote. go figure

Update on my pets!

Princess Buttercup is at about 99%!! She was walking about this morning, but still wobbly-legged. I took her out and put her in the yard, and our L.H. roo quickly RAN over and pounced on her and started pecking the cr** out of her, which prompted the rest of the birds to come over and join in! I rescued her and put her back in the mini-coop. I dropped the ramp down and she actually was able to make it down and hang out on her side of the hardware cloth. When we got back from Northwest Trek, she was in a good mood, and no wobbly legs. I'll probably keep her in the mini-coop for a couple more days. The Buttercup breed is a smaller breed than the rest, and I think her illness kept her from growing, because her sister in just these past few days has surpassed her big-time. Tinkerbelle is now taller and her big-girl feathers are coming in.

On Felix, I can't remember what I wrote about last. The ultrasound found masses in his bladder and his lymph nodes were swollen. They also drained over one liter of fluid from his abdomen. He's in great spirits, is more alert and obviously moving around better. I didn't get his fluids tested, since there's nothing I can do whether he has cancer or FIP or not (FIP is inflammation of his abdominal lining). So he's home and curled up next to me purring.

Northwest Trek was awesome today. ALL animals were out and about when we did the tram ride. We were able to see baby bison that were born 24 hours prior! Pretty neat stuff.

Is the price of straw pretty much the same all over? I need a bale so I can stock the nest boxes and the throw some in the run. Can't do hay, I' horrifyingly allergic to it. Hoping straw is better. Where do I get it?

It was just said rudely is all. I'm glad to have heard opinions either way but her post was rude, plain and simple, and generally I try to give people benefit of doubt when reading for tone, etc, but hers wasn't nicely worded in the slightest. All she had to say was "Some people might try dumping unhealthy birds at the auction so be careful" instead of "Are you trying to pick up a bunch of diseased birds?!" Clearly I'm just asking for opinions and hers was rudely put. Oh well. I'm still here...she's not for some odd reason.

Well as many of us know it is really hard to detect emotion in text.
I believe the post you are talking about is the one from Cowgirlgrace. Keep in mind that some times people may be dealing with other issues in life. Then they may come here and in an attempt to help or offer good info they may come across as something other than pleasant. I have done it my self without knowing it until after the fact.
I will tell you I feel that I know Cowgirlgrace pretty well. I would say she is one of the more knowledgeable and helpful people on here. You probably haven't seen her because she is a very busy lady.
I hope we can smooth this over and move on.
Sincerely Rob
