My goodness guys!!! I would give anything....almost anything for the 85deg weather those on the west side have been having! We're dealing with a whopping 102 in the Trikes!! It actually hurts to be outside!!! My feathered friends have been getting their run and several shaded areas in the field wet down and ice in their water buckets. I really feel bad for my broody hen. We've put a frozen water bottle in the pen with her and ice in her water. I need to get the shade put up in the window!! I've lived here my whole life but I still can't stand it when the temp goes over 85!!!

Check out all the pictures of this coop. They had great creativity. Love it.

Hello all, I'm looking for a home for my "boys", Bruce and Olive. I live in Seattle where roosters are banned, and 2/8 chicks turned out to be guys. Bruce is an Easter Egger (who just started to test out his vocal cords today... ) and Olive is a Speckled Sussex (though we were told Welsummer when we got him as a chick!). I'm more than willing to drive out of the city to re-home them! They are friendly and have been very spoiled! They are both almost 13 weeks.

We have chicks & a broody and chicks! Thanks so much and great meeting you, SadieSue and RisingStar!

Oh, and 5 of the eggs that went through the USPS crushing dept are developing!

Holy cow! $800 for a weathervane? Yikes!

At Joann crafts last week they were selling all their garden decor for 70% off, and they had a fair amount of chicken-related stuff. I bought this hangy thingie for $7, but it was originally priced at $25.

It's like they made it just for my coop!

Quote: That's how I found the coop.

Thought I'd check Craigs for you if you hadn't.

Checked Ebay also.
The free shipping ones weren't all that great.
Didn't go through the shipping ones cause you said you wanted it cheap and once you add shipping in most cases that cheap goes away.

You might just keep an eye out for it on Craigs and when you go into towns check out their junk stores.
It's always interesting what you'll find.
Duvall has a couple of them.

I have bought a lot of chicken related pictures etc from garage sales.

Our Jo Ann's had the garden & chicken stuff 70% off also, that's the time when I buy. Otherwise their prices are insane. Even at 70% off they are still higher than the should be considering.
