I'm just working at the Fruitstand today. It's slowing down finally.

Hi everyone, gosh it just took me a whle to catch up...and it's been so slow here I didn't expect to have to read over much after church today! LOL.

CR - thanks for your post. I've been obsessing. And then feeling guilty in the morning for not letting everyone out of the coop before 9am. But I still have open areas near my rafters in the run that a coon could easily get into and kill my whole flock! I'm thinking about chancing it for a while and stopping all the fuss about closing up the run and coop every night, but then if I got a coon to kill some birds I know I'd be so upset over ANY loss. Don't know what to do, DH is done working on the chicken stuff.

You got a 2fer.
You killed the Michigan thread as well.
Maybe I'm just an outsider and not in on some joke, but this sounds kinda mean. Pardon if it's just because I missed something. I've tried several ways of working it out in my head to turn it into a tongue-in-cheek comment, but I'm just not seein' it. Wasn't going to say anything, but thought I might anyway. But my brain is still going "uhhhhhhh............."

So, yesterday I got 6 Barnevelders. They are in Quarantine right now, and later I shall do an Eprinex on them. If I remember right, it's 0.5 ml per LF?!?!?! Then another dose in 10 days?!?!?!

That's how I remember it! I just dosed my girls this morning for the first time, although a little late in the season. So I'll be marking my calendar to remember to do it again in 10 days. I love the Barnevelders - my one girl is so pretty - although VERY skittish and that hasn't changed in the past year. I remember Ogress saying hers were some of her friendliest birds though and I think we got them from the same source! How old are yours? Are they LF?

Quote: Well, I thought you could do it late, ready for fall, and this IS WA remember (fall is just a couple of weeks away, right!).

So, I got my Barnies from Northern Oregon. They are super tame, yup LF. The cockerel is super gorgeous (Johan line).
They were hatched late last year, so not a year old yet, and I think the boy is younger, hasn't been with any ladies yet! He's going to have a nice time in a few weeks! I also got 18 hatching eggs, so if you want to add to yours let me know
