That doesn't seem so bad. I've been nervous about processing our own birds but that seems OK. Can I bring our one bird next week and have a little lesson and take mine home? You mean next Sat, not tomorrow right? It'll be good to let him grow another week anyway he's kinda scrawny..We really enjoyed and appreciated all the help with the meat birds that FlyRobin gave us today. We got 16 out of 26 of our birds, plus 4 of Robin's roos done in just about 3 hours. We are opting to let the other of our birds grow another week or two. They are still on the small side, even though they are 8 weeks old now. Here are a few pictures of DH and Robin working.
Timmy wanted to help, but got tired before we got done.
We will be processing the rest of the birds hopefully next Saturday. If any one want to come and see how to butcher, you are more than welcome to stop by this coming Saturday. Even if DH doesn't make it home I think that I will do the deed one way or another.
