Can anyone tell me what kind of spider this is? Te body is quarter sized and we have them indoors and out...i see dozens of the daily

can't hardly see it in the pic, but it looks mighty mean and in my house it would be dead. no if, no but and no maybes.

These ones freak me out, and we have found 3 so far this summer IN the cabin. They never have bothered us......but they are HUGE and scarey ! And they can run FAST !!!
I would say toe to toe they are about 3" across.......Ewwwww!


Looks like could eat a small bird................

Most spiders are good guys...they eat bugs !!!
There are exceptions, Hoboes and brown recluse, and we have some Black Widows here too.

I walked into the kitchen a few weeks ago first thing in the morning, and a wolfy was right over the window....HUGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got DH to catch it & put it outside.
Funny how ya never see them until they are HUGE !
He had a small webbed hole in the corner of the window and must have been living there for months to get that big.

It is said that it is very bad luck to kill a spider.

Just think how fun it would be if you had a female with all those babies in your house...................Ogress has told a horror story about while in College she had rented a basement apartment & one day BILLIONS of hoboe spiders invaded from out of nowhere...all over walls & ceiling !

Hey, about that south side meet up. How about a central area, one that has a decent eatery and meet up for a late lunch/early dinner one Sat or Sun.
It doesn't matter to me since I'm retired so any day would be good.
CR, what about that rest on US 12 westbound? (I've been there, but can't remember the name. Exit 68 from I 5 right?)
Anyplace would do actually.
