Quote: Well ya did a good job and made it work. Is this near you or RFF ???
No, this is the one that is up by Cle Elum. Even the Wenatchee Complex fire is quite a ways from us. There is also the Alta Lake Fire (not sure of size), but it is a good distance away. But we are getting the smoke from them. Wenatchee is actually rather dangerous from the smoke level, for people with respiratory problems. There were photos taken and you can barely see across the street. No, at this point no fires close to RFF or me, but the smoke is very irritating. I feel bad for those closer and more "enveloped" in all this.

Although if you don't sell them I could take them to yakatat for the family trying to improve food substance in the small village.![]()
Are they tough? Preds are a worry So I only send up my tough boogers that can take care of themselves well.
I just figured since I was going to visit a buddy of mine in Chicago who is a chicken peep too we'd go visit the farm and I'd try to get a few dozen home with me![]()
MIght see if I can find more in the area too... although theres talk of visiting family in the Netherlands so I might have to finish my import papers and go get a few doz there too.... and maybe a dutch Shepard pup .... need a pup like a need a hole in my head but hey who knows![]()

Quote: Also FYI the sale at Enumclaw is a lot different than either of the 2 in Chehalis. See at the Chehalis sales the birds are in sale cages so you can "preview" . At Enumclaw they pull the bird out of the box show it and sell right then.
I do take birds to sales. I don't normally add any info about the bird. I do not knowingly sell ill birds.
I would not buy at one of these kind of sales but IF a person does choose to. Remember it is ALWAYS BUYER BEWARE !!!
For my 2 cents; I have bought birds from the auction, and so far I haven't had any problems with any of them. I don't need birds that lay everyday though. I do think that I have gotten an older bird or two, but I have gotten more than enough eggs to make them worth it. I definitely do quarantine any bird coming from auction. There are a lot of young birds at the auction also. It does help to know what you are looking at, so that you know what you are buying. You can look through the auction items before the sale, sort of. It can be hard to look in to all the boxes before the sale.
I am so jealous! What a fabulous harvest! I have no luck with beans in my yard and I don't know why. I had sugar snap peas coming out of my ears, but the 25 feet of scarlet runner beans that I planted on an adjoining fence haven't given me a single bean. The flowers just fall off. I planted a few other bush beans in another spot, and while they have given me a few beans they have hardly grown. Oh well, the chicken project has been such a distraction this summer that the garden has been mostly ignored for the past 2 months.

I can see where this might be of concern to some people; but unless you are admitting to crimes on line, I think it's great.
Every year I get overrun with fleas. Along with the fleas, come tapeworms. Ugh! The only OTC med that effectively treats tapeworms is: Praziquantel. It is very expensive running almost $7 per pill retail. I was searching a couple weeks ago, and even on line it was just a couple dollars cheaper. Then I get an email from Amazon. The "you were just searching for praziquantel" here's some great deals. And yup about 75% off, even with shipping still a little over 50% off. I just
checked this morning and they are in Federal Way being delivered tomorrow.
I belong to the Fred Meyers rewards program. I know they track my purchases. The rewards and personalized coupons save me lots of money. Right now I have about $40 in free groceries, coming to me. Will be redeeming tomorrow.

What I don't get is that once I buy a kitchen faucet, why would I want to keep looking at kitchen faucets, and and or sinks. I try to keep the browser guessing as to what I am will look at next, and what I refuse to look at ever again.
I must say that I do like the semi custom coupons from the Kroger Stores. I don't buy a lot of brand name convenience items, so a coupon for fresh fruit or veggies goes over better with me. I also love the discount on fuel.
Were the bush beans original or were they honey or BBQ.

Quote: I would call them first thing tomorrow, and complain. They should have a loaner to lend to you while they fix the two you brought in for repair, and cleaning.
