So my 9 year old was being a great farm kid and was feeding the chickens some yummy bugs... unfortunately he had picked up those "bugs" wasps...from a nest in another part of the yard that my husband had sprayed the night before....

Anything i can do to mitigate effects, i dont know how many they had, 9 year old feels terrible and cant remember.

So far they are acting normally. I gave them some fresh treats and water. Also if they dont die...im assuming we should toss thier eggs for a few days?

The effects of insecticide in such a small amount would not be death but paralysis. Look for any balance issues first, then lameness.

Assure your nine-year old that a lot of adult people make the same mistake he did. Hopefully, there's no real consequences this time.

They seem ok this morning. Will keep a close eye on them today. I did find a couple dead wasps in thier run on the ground last night so it seems like they may have not been so eager to gooble them up so hopefully they smelled or tasted something funny and didnt actually eat much of the wasps. The wasps I found have been removed.

I use at bottle sprayer and use 1 cup dawn de-greaser detergent and fill the bottle half up with water shake really well and start spraying those things I always have on hand in case one gets inside my house. Safe for pets and children. Really works also great for roaches and ants

They seem totally fine! Thanks! Am (sadly) disposing eggs the next couple days just to be sure but at least thats the worst thats seem to come of it. Clearly time to rethink wasp control.
