Water in coop question?

One reason I'm not on FB anymore all of the misinformation spread around. Smh.
My ducks are put away every night without water or food. They have done well. Who is going to come and check on everyone's ducks and chickens to make sure they have food and water? Unless something major is going on (such as animal abuse) - no one!
I don't have the room in my duck house. As long as no food is offered they don't need water (while in their house for the night).
I'm not going to be forgetting to let my ducks or chickens out either. It's on my mind like making coffee every morning. It's part of my routine.

Ducklings should have water and food 24/7 though. Just throwing that out there. But no duck police are going to come knocking on your door if you don't do that either. Your ducklings just might not fair well.

Ok so this person is now stating it is illegal and animal cruelty, just as it would be for any pet. He also said
"Once ducks are right about 8-10 weeks old, they start carrying water full time in the crop. Up until this point they have always direct washed and rinsed the crop which is where all the baby smacking and water mess comes from. They swallow it and throw it up to rinse before actually drinking.
When they start carrying the water in the crop, this water is not for drinking and this water is why no oral medication has any effect on a duck whatsoever unless it is flooded which with most things becomes toxic.
They need dunking stations to be able to rinse this water when their body tells them it is becoming putrid. This is one of the reasons they even need water at night. They have to be able to dump and replace at will."

Ok so I found both these things to be false and corrected him, but because he runs the page I am now blocked. I'm done with groups on FB

Mine also. I have the black rubber bowls you get at TSC all around and they take their time drinking from them. When they were little or when the ate their dry food they would always take sip of water with each bite. I had never heard the whole storing water in their crop before.
Well when I corrected him he booted me right off. Jeesh
