You can get the heated base for poultry waterers but they run about $40. You can make your own much cheaper with a cookie tin and a drop light. Just drill a hole to run the cord through and put a 60 W bulb in the cookie tin then set the waterer on top of it. It will keep the water from freezing in your waterer unless it gets down around 15 degrees or less. I'm guessing the inside of your coop is much warmer than that just from the birds in there.
