Mine right now holds pit balls and rubber duckies but I would like real ducks some day. I just use the water in the garden and clean it out.

I totally agree the bright colors of kiddy pools is annoying to me.

True but when they are $4 each you can get past the bright obnoxious colors pretty quick! A couple years ago we got a bigger one and my husband put in a ball valve in it to drain it. Turned out to be a pain in the butt and took forever to drain. Compared to that I think it's much easier to bale out a smaller one and have it fresh everyday. Takes about 1 minute to do it and all you need is a little bucket. I've got 7 ducks so it's not like I've just got one or 2 to deal with. I just find it easier to bale and I'm old!
