Watermelon and chickens

    wow....I cant believe no one else has ever notice this....everyone do me a favor though, and watch your chickens combs and wattles closely this year and see if it is there but you never noticed it.....I probably wouldn't have noticed it on mine if my mom hadn't told me it was going to happen. As a matter of fact I only noticed b/c I wanted to tell her I told you so.....instead I got the I told you so [​IMG] ......I guess I shoulda known to always listen to my mom by now [​IMG]

    mine LOVE watermelon - it is a great treat when the weather is hot - my ducks love it also - I also feed my crew pumpkins they love it also

    so far I have never had a problem with feeding either of those to my birds

    I fed mine pumplins too, didn't have any trouble with that....

    The problem with the watermelon might have been quantitiy. They got quite a bit of watermelon for only a small number of chickens.
