watery white poo picture..3 year old polish Hen lethargic, droopy wings

Refeeding syndrome is a major cause of death in horses that have been starved. Most horses are emaciated due to lack of food and rarely have other underlying causes of being malnourished. It makes sense that chickens would need to be hydrated and have electrolytes restored before feeding.

POLISH update: 6 weeks have gone by and I think polish is finally out of the woods. She is eating (a lot) all on her own. Today she actually walked off her towel for the first time and is preening herself. She is still very under weight so will continue to fatten her up (suggestions) before putting her back outside. She is still not quite strong enough but what ever she had either went away on it's own or the De worming/antibiotics/tube feeding cured her. Maybe coincidence but she seemed to turn the corner after giving her honey water...Just saying! Thanks again for all the wisdom and knowledge that was shared.

POLISH update. So I have been fattening up POLISH and last week decided she was ready to go back outside. She was alone during the day in a bunny hutch and at night I let her sleep with the girls. After the second night she couldn't walk very well do I brought her back in the house and decided she want ready. Now she is as sick as ever. This is such a puzzle. Eating and drinking very little. I tube fed her last night now today there is a bit of a rattling noise and a little bit of labored breathing. Just before I put her out she was doing fine. I don't understand how she could go down hill that fast after months of caring for her.
