    Is a 125 Light Bulb Wattage Ok for my 12 red star chicks that are coming?

    The way to answer that question is to get a thermometer, put it under the light in a place in the brooder, and see if its the right temp (95F)

    In the house - yes. Outside, probably not. I agree the best way to know is to put a thermometer in the brooder and make sure it gets to 95 degrees. You will want to decrease temp by 5 degrees per week.
