I tried REALLY REALLY hard to let it go. I'm sure that doesn't help.

For the record, there are lots of technically correct things that rub me the wrong way. That's the beauty of language, you can use it (or not use it) any way you see fit. If it's wrong for you, then you don't have to use it, regardless of what other people think!
