We can't figure out what she is...!

I posted a photo of this girl a couple of weeks ago

when she was much smaller. Here is a more recent photo, she is in front with the dark head...does anyone know what breed this might be?

She looks like a mixed breed. I'd say she has a little Americana in her and maybe some blue splash Marian in her, a pretty hen!

The point being made was the commonly misspelled version is a dressed up way to try to market Easter Eggers as the true breed which is spelled Ameraucana. Junebugga is correct that "Americana" is not a breed.

Thanks folks, we were wondering if she might be a mix of some sort. I hope she does lay blue/green eggs!

I don't see any Easter egger in her, myself. I see probably some Polish, besides that, honestly who knows. Something blue or splash was in the mix to give her that pretty blue coloring, she's quite striking.

Spelling Ameraucana with an "I" is incorrect, but many hatcheries spell it like that because it indicates that it isn't a pure breed, rather a mix.
