Finished the coop !!!!!!!!!!! Need to build the roof still..... Our 11 Banties ( Silkies too ! ) are just 5 weeks , but thier CHALET is getting done !!! What do you think ?!?! Am I forgetting anything ?????

Awsum job! But 11 chckens is too much for that coop! Even if they're bantams.

looks very nice. you might want to add some ventilation - maybe a window. your chickies will not want to go into a dark box to roost at sundown. your run is very nice and spacious! your garden is lovely with all those ferns and moss covered rocks! i'm jealous...

Really pretty. Maybe a string of rope light would make it more inviting at night .U could use a lamp timer to turn it off or turn it off manually once they're inside. Whatever u do, have fun.

I would agree with more ventilation, the tarp will not only protect from rain and sun, it will block quite a bit of breeze from making it to your vents. But it all depends on your location.

If you are west of the cascades you have plenty of ventilation in your coop. I can tell from the pictures that you are on the west side so you are going to be okay. For everyone else, We just don't get very hot here in the PW. If you had been east of the bumps then you might need more. If you want I would recommend checking with the group of members on the Washington thread. But I will say that your coop looks great. Way to Go!!!!
