Both her and Cupcake, the confirmed boy, are about at least 5 months old, but could be 6 months old.
In one of the earlier photos of everyone, Cupcake is in there with the others. He is at least twice the size of Confetti and they came together. Confetti did have a week where we thought we were going to lose her, as she had stopped eating. This was about the time when their size really began to differentiate. But I held her and fed her a concoction of oats, crumble, tomato, watermelon and grapes to make sure she was able to eat. After three days of that, she was rearing to go and never looked back. Confetti also got her full wing feathers first and was flying for two weeks before Cupcake made any attempt or had enough flight feathers.
Maybe I am just panicking, since we have struggled to replace the ducks we had to give up and get more females. Another male would just be hard to deal with, as we cannot let go of any more. They are family and we are rather attached to them.
