We have a baby!

We had a mishap and my hen that was sitting on 10 eggs went to the wrong box for too long, we lost 8 eggs. I didn't have a lot of hope for the remaining two, but I left them because they looked like they were still developing properly. Today I went in and there was a baby chirping away I'm so happy that she got at least one chick after all her hard work, I'm glad I left the other two eggs.

Me too, these two eggs were late additions by someone sneaking in while mama was off dust bathing. I didn't remove them at first because it was hard to tell which were newer by the time I realized she was sitting on more and they were already developing.
