We have a chick *picture added* odd "bubble" on neck

I have red, pink, lime green, black, blue, purple and white too. Our son plays soccer, hubby is a coach for another team so he orders paper sports tape in bulk. He carries black and lime green for his team, our son uses black, red and white. I get all the other colors lol. It sticks, but doesn't hurt the skin so is easy to work with.

How can it walk with it's feet together like that?
I mean shouldn't it's shoes be separated?
I think mabe it should be bound higher up on the legs to keep them together cause it needs to walk to build up strength in its legs

I did it up on the leg but the twist still happened, it appears to be happening low on the leg, so I bound the shoes together. He is in a small space and can hop some. I will unbind later and have him out to work the joints, then bind again if needed. I am lucky to be home all day, so he won't spend hours like this and gets lots of attention and hand fed.

Looks good and it's great to see him with his head up. We'll keep rooting for him! Let us know how the bindings work

What a pretty little guy he is turning out to be! This is from your silver pied eggs right? I love the booties XD And that face in the last pic! So serious :| He looks like he's doing great!

Glad its doing better! The red tape is OK since its a lone chick but you wouldnt want to use it with other chicks around because it promotes pecking. Also, if you are wetting the feed, be sure to change it out and wash your dish at least 3 times a day! With the moister and temps around 100, bacteria will grow really fast.

Hey Colby, yeah red is normally human use only, but the roll was handy and he was a lone chick so used it up.

I was able to remove the hobble yesterday and one shoe. Rewrapped the other shoe as his middle toe was rolling, but other than that his feet and legs are good. He ate and drank yesterday without prompting too.

We go into lockdown tomorrow with 5 more eggs ( white, purple cameo, and 3 I need to fully figure out what the labels are), so hopefully our lone charcoal baby will have some new peachick hatchling friends this week.
