We have a tom turkey problem....

Ok so we have a Bourbon Red Tom Turkey, named Tom, of course. He was my mom's but she just gave him to us this past month. He is really, really, really friendly if you know what I mean? (and I mean, the polar opposite of aggressive attack turkey!!)

Anyhoo, neighbor comes up today and got to find out just how "friendly" Tom is. No matter what we did, we couldn't get Tom to leave our neighbor alone! I don't know how to explain this and keep it "G" rated...other than just saying if our neighbor had been a turkey we would be having babies!!

Course our neighbor is freaking out, says he's going to have nightmares, and probably needs therapy now. He wasn't mad at us, but he sure was freaked out after we explained what Tom was doing to his foot..I mean he knew what Tom was doing, but he didn't realize that Tom was...er...um...completing the act?

Never seen anyone take off for home so fast....think we've just discovered a new "pest" deterent?? LOL

Well, when we have folks come over they usually don't know a turkey from Turkestan (unless it's the one giving them indigestion). I usually just tell them that we taught the boys to dance...

My favorite euphemism is sports related, i.e., "Hey, Cass, darling, fearless leader's (turk below) throwin' some airball, again!'
Grandkids don't have a clue.
