Right! I never spent much time in the yard before chicken keeping and I thought they were supposed to take care of these things lolChickens are supposed to get rid of ticks...
You have to whip your birds into shape, @Wainbowmudd !
I‘m kidding.
I would be tempted to sprinkle some sort of Permethrin dust around your pen/run.
I have the tick tornado but I can’t imagine using it on a chicken comb. Ugh These little things are freaking me out and I have to deal with other things like my car crapping out, always around Christmas things get the most hecticI have a special tick remover. Or you can do it with fine tweezers?
Do you have outside cats? If not, get out there and wage war on those eight-legged nasties!I have the liquid but it scares me to use
There are tons in the neighborhood but they don’t come in our yard because of the dogs. What do I need for my battle?! I want to wrap myself in garbage bags to go out there now lol. Do you think the liquid permethrin will work?? How do I get them off the comb? Will they attach to their skin under feathers too??? Ahhhh. My girls aren’t super lovey so it’s hard to catch the ones that aren’t squatting yet. How do I even check them all?!Do you have outside cats? Lol hardly need trash bags. Just use gloves and wash your hands when you're done. There are tons in the neighborhood but they don’t come in our yard because of the dogs. What do I need for my battle?!
