We have ticks help!

I think I have a tick problem I noticed super tiny tiny tiny ticks on my feet the other day in the chicken yard. We tried sprinkling with DE and it seemed to work for a day or so but now I think I see them on Goldie’s comb. She won’t let me get super close. What do I do?!

Check first that they are def. ticks, if you can't get close how are you sure?

I mean they’ve been crawling on me and that sure looks like tic butts when I zoomed in with my camera

Yes, make sure.
With our dog, we would light a match, blow it out, then hold it to the rear of said fat tick. It would back out quick as lightning. But don’t try this near a chicken’s eyeballs! She’s going to be clucking and squirming all over.

Those look like stick-tight fleas. If you do a forum search, you'll find some info on how to get rid of them.

Ditch the DE.

How? I’ve only ever removed normal sized ones from a dog??? And I’ve never seen ones this tiny!
