yeah we are good - watching the news to see if anyone in Ludlow was injured. Northridge was 4.3 ish and there were tons of injuries. Not many people in Ludlow, but they are people nonetheless.

Heheh... the last time there was a major earthquake in the Seattle area I was walking through the SUB of the university where I used to work. My male coworker from NY felt it, pushed me out of the way, and ran screaming out of the building.

Being a native, I walked to a nearby doorway and hung out until it was done.

I still haven't let him live it down.

ETA - the funnier part was that the doorway was outside of the bathroom and all these college kids from out of state were stumbling out while pulling up pants and zipping up various clothing bits.

my husband-born and raised and has never left CA-is petrified of earthquakes. It's funny. the girls played an April fools joke on him while he was sleeping they snuck in and shook the bed. HE FREAKED.
