My husband and I have been married 15 years. 2 years later Pip joined us. She has been like our daughter. Australian Cattle Dog Mix. Got along with dogs, cats, kids. She was a huge part of our lives. She passed early this morning here at home where she knew she was loved. We knew her time was at hand and decided her psyche and emotional comfort was just as important as physical comfort. We didn’t want her final moments to be in an environment that frightened her to the point she would shake. Although discomfort is inevitable last night her physical discomfort became an issue. We knew we needed to take the big step. God took it out of our hands. She passed probably just before we woke up this morning. I knew she was still with us at 5am. Our hearts are shattered even though we knew it was coming.

you see she was missing one eye due to surgical removal for several glaucoma. This earned her the nickname Pipeye.
