We lost our first chicken :(

I am so sad. Our girls have definitely become our family pets and we lost one today. A hawk got in a small area that is not covered in netting over the run and killed one Two of them are beat up pretty bad. What should we look for on them? Can I/should I use Neosporin where they are bleeding?

Thanks. Only one has an injury. Cleaned and neosporin and keeping a close eye for awhile. Luckily my husband and kids are home for the summer otherwise we would have probably lost more.

The Neosporin doesnt have pain relief does it??

No pain relief. But she perked up a tad when I cleaned it and applied some. The whole flock is pretty traumatized. They are not acting like themselves at all. Breaks my heart
