The poll is for people to vote on their favorite. Not what meets your criteria.

If getting birds from a hatchery, pick an egg color and feather color and enjoy.

They all lay eggs.
All hens are sweet hearts.
Most dual purpose, game, and Asian fowl go broody.
All chickens are noisy. Egg song is what happens and chatter as well.
Not sure what you mean by "Funny". A chicken is a chicken.

How about Andalusians? Not quite as flighty as Leghorns, not really prone to brooding, gets along with others well, not typically overly vocal.
Sussex, Welsummers, and Barnevelders would also be good options.
Do not get Wyandottes, Rocks, or Rhode Island Reds if space is an issue. Those breeds really need their elbow or they can become problematic. Rocks are very fun birds though, very curious and also very noisy. My Australorps aren't nearly as talkative as my Rocks, but they do the egg song louder and longer than any of the other hens. Mine happen to be very broody. Easter Eggers have a huge range of temperaments, from incredibly flighty to very laid back. Some are great layers, some barely produce an egg a week. Some are constantly broody, some will never brood. That's part of their charm. You never know what you are going to get with Easter Eggers.

That's your opinion.

My Australorpes are very quiet. I never hear a peep out of them.

EE are quirky, have fun personalities. They can be shy and skittish, or they can be very friendly. My noisiest bird is an Ameraucana, and one of her daughters is also a screecher. The Am mama is a friendly gal, and lays nice blue eggs, otherwise, she'd be on the short cull list. My experience with EE is that they are good layers.

Want friendly? Dominique. Egg size is a bit smaller, but their personality makes up for this lack.

I place PBR close second for friendliness. Nice layer of large eggs.

IMO, given any breed, you may find good and bad layers, quiet and noisy, friendly and aloof birds. It's not always a breed thing, but an individual thing.

I hear you! I cannot stand my ameraucana for that reason.

Last year I hastly bought my first pullets, Red Production’s at TSC. Each lay 6-7 eggs/week, they were never aggressive and very sweet. They were not lap/cuddly chickens, but they enjoy my company.

Easter Eggers are the best!
Mine has never been loud, and she has little, adorable clucks and calls that none of the other chickens have.
She is super friendly and has never been aggressive or a bully to the other chickens or to people.
Easter Eggers don't lay as much as RIR's and Leghorns, but the EE's that I've had have always laid large eggs, and the blues and greens are so pretty!
She is, again, super friendly and loves to cuddle and get pets. She would cuddle for hours if she could.
None of my EE's have ever gone broody.
They are also very resilient. Mine had the top mandible of her beak taken off in a dog attack, as well as several large wounds, and she survived and has now learned to eat with her new beak.
