Well, 3 more of the warming chicks have expired and one isn't looking so hot.. So 6 of the 12 warming chicks will propbably survive. The geese look great though.. Glad I didn't pay for those chickens.

Were in Eastern Washington are you I live in Moses lake and mine shipped on the 13th and arived on the 14th.

Hi, I am new at this. I ordered online, today. I am really excited and apprehensive at the same time. I am interested in the large brown egg layers. I already have a list of people that are interested in buying some eggs. I ordered a lot of 25 pullets:
5 rhode island reds
5 delawares
5 new hampshires
5 buff orpingtons
5 barred rocks
They will be shipped on 3/19. I live in Oklahoma. I really hope they arrive the next day.
I had concidered driving to Texas to pick them up. Because of all the positive feedback I have read, I decided to have them shipped. Now I am a nervous wreck.
Thanks for reading.: fl

Hello y'all. I've been reading BYC for sometime now, but just registered today. These fluffy, friendly, full of personality birds are most definitely addicting. I started last year with a purchase of 5, 2 week old RIR from a local feed store and have now grown to hubby building an 8 X 8 coop and the arrival of 18 chicks on 2/7 from Ideal. All arrived happy, healthy and full of peep

We got 4 Buff pullets, 3 Delaware pullets, 3 White Plymouth Rock pullets, 3 Barred Rock pullets and 3 Ideal pullets. Just for fun we got 2 Buff Orp roos. We moved them out to the new coop just last night for the first time. They had been in the extra bathroom bathtub, in a large rubbermaid container, but have grown sooooo fast they needed more room. We were really nervous as the temps here are still dropping into the 30's at night, but the lights kept it nice and warm and they were just fine this morning. I'll get hubby to take some pics for me. Again, gald to be here and hoping to learn alot and make some new friends
