We Quit Cigarettes

Shannon is gone from BYC. There are a few of us from here that talk to her regularly. She's doing good.
Oh darn. Well, when next someone talks with her... Wish her well from me please. I look forward to hearing she graduated and to her future endeavors!

My family has weird sleep issues. Lucid dreams, 4-6 hr sleep requirements, talking/walking in sleep, etc.

Just trying to get a feel of how it changes it.

Appreciate the input.
I'm bipolar. I took Chantix for about two weeks with good results and no issues. One week smoking, one week not. Then, suddenly and without warning, I had a major anxiety attack and HAD to have a cigarette. No more Chantix. I was really bummed about it because it had been working real well for me. (I have since quit using another method and an 10.5 years smoke-free).

Yeah, I would say, give it a try and see how it works for the patient. Everyone is an individual. If it works for you, great! If not, try something else. It can't be worse than smoking, eh?

I used to smoke, I know how hard it is to quit. I wonder, was it will power or brain power or both that broke the cycle. The main reason for quitting was fear of disease. Anyway, I think every time we try to quit smoking we develop brain cells in the area of the brain that strengthens the will. Even if we fail again and again, if we kept at it we will eventually conquer it.

I know that scientist did a study on dogs, In one group of dogs, they trained them to distinguish colors and in another group they did nothing but fed them. Upon examination of the occipital area of the brain, they found more brain cells in the group of dogs who were trained to decipher colors. They concluded that more brain cells can be given to any animal or human in consequence of a better use of their learning faculties.

Yes, it is possible to train the will......................
