We Quit Cigarettes

I am going to really have to try hard to stay focused because I do keep thinking that one drag won't hurt.
And yes I know this sounds retarded and is just dumb but it's real. It would be so much easier just going to buy a pack. Today might be a tough day.

I have to win!

It's a lie, it's a lie, it's a lie --------- do you have any idea how many times I heard "just one more"? Stinkin' thinkin', and you are smarter than that. You are a winner - on so many levels. :p

Be strong my friend! :hugs

Idk, I’ve just been lucky I guess. Also I slow down when I see them. Also I only got my license like 4 years ago 😂
So you're like 20?

.....and you will!!

Indeed, that stinkin' thinkin' can warp your brain.....tell it to go to hell!

No...add 5 or 6 years to that.

I don't have sleep apnea but I do sleepwalk.
I'm constantly stressed and consume an abnormally high amount of disturbing media. I think I'm starting to see the problem. 🧐
Lol but seriously.. I know the constant stress takes a toll on my mental and physical health. I've made a lot of changes in my life lately and I'm trying to be better and kinder to Tes.

I don't know about the doctor. I told myself (and anyone unfortunate enough to be within earshot) that after these tests I was done. DONE.
It's never that simple.. 😒
I was skeptical about the extra beats until I went home and checked my pulse. Three extra beats within 60 seconds. I'm shocked.
Nearly everyone has a few skipped beats or early/extra beats. It's more unusual not to have them. It's only when they start to bother you (or become too constant) that they're a problem. Three in a minute is more than usual, but it could actually be down to stress. That doesn't make it less of an issue, but it does mean you may be able to do something to make it better.

People get addicted to all sorts of things, including unhealthy entertainment (including the "news"). These things create pathways in your brain--a metaphor for an actual detectable physical effect. You can change those pathways. I used to struggle desperately with depression. Still do sometimes. I just can't watch that kind of stuff. I watch chickens and geese and ducks and cows. 🥰

When I start feeling depressed it's as if I become my own enemy. I know I should turn away from it, but somehow I'm not willing. I don't understand that, but I have to turn away--distract myself somehow--go for a walk, paint something, put on some music and dance... Otherwise the darkness gets so bad. You can't let it get to that point. It's too painful and there's really no point. Anyway it's not real most of the time. It's just chemicals in your brain telling you lies. Some of us have to work hard to keep our thoughts positive, but it's well worth doing... and it well may help your arrhythmias.

Anyway try the meditation if you're willing. Smiling Mind is the name of the free app I found. It's very simple (not necessarily easy but not excruciating). Really the whole point is to get control of noticing and being where you are rather than your mind wandering off in a million different streams. Focus. 🙂

@aart "the kids these days" aren't getting their licenses at 16. Most of the kids I know are waiting until at least 18 or even later.

In Texas they added all sorts of restrictions to a license holder under 18... like you can't drive with other teenagers in your car, etc. It's taken a lot of the "fun" out of driving for them, you either have to be by yourself or with an adult in the front seat, so they just don't get them.

It's interesting how quickly norms change.

Kiki don't do just 1... It's never just 1

Your body is doing it's last effort to try to get you its fix, but if you hold off your body will want it less.

Stopping and starting again then trying to stop again... Is crazy hard

Agreed!! I’ve never done drugs or drinking or whatever so idk if it’s the same but I’ve done that starting and stopping thing with other stuff before and it just makes it way harder!!

........even on roads with no trees around leaving the paved road at a reasonable speed is likely to cause the car to roll/flip. Not a fun ride.
It does not take a deep ditch to do it either.

:ep I figured it would just keep driving. :hide

Cottage cheese is poor mans ricotta!

Huh, interesting.

Because the police are to busy writing them to me! :rant

:lau

Ditto Dat^^^

Doesn't care for cottage cheese either, it's a texture thing.
I buy all my peanut butter at the food co-op, unsalted chunky, favorite way to eat it is on apple slices for the sweetness and moisture.

Good idea with the apples!! Might try it.

And she's in the WORST state to get a ticket in!

In VA if you go over 80 it's criminal speeding and they'll arest you

:ep for real!?

My daughter has first-hand experience with "mad cow." In the show ring, last summer, her milk cow was bugged by a giant blackfly. Apparently, it found the one spot that the fly spray missed, and poor Melee got nailed ... hard ... on her udder. DD was lifted clear off the ground and clear across the ring. I've never seen a madder cow!

:ep
