Actually very few insecticide or pesticides are used on tobacco because very few pests attack tobacco plants.

That is interesting. I didn't know nor had I thought about it. What I was talking about was the added chemicals in commercial tobacco products.

You should move to a subtropical climatic zone. You can grow banana, mango, guava, litchi, jackfruit etc along with tomatoes, potatoes, onions and other crops that you are familiar with in temperate zone.

Oh I get it. They also sell packed tobacco here, but I rarely use it. Maybe once in a blue moon, mainly because they are not strong enough. My tobacco is locally grown and we only add slaked lime (calcium hydroxide/Ca(OH)²) when we prepare it.

My Grandfather used to chew tobacco. He also smoked.
