We Quit Cigarettes

And eggs. Perhaps it does sound unhealthy, but many people who go strictly plant based, even when eating a whole foods type diet end up depleting their vitamin/mineral stores and doing incredible damage to their bodies. I was shocked to read the ailments they deal with; from osteoporosis to teeth falling out, peripheral neuropathy, damage to their gut health. Plants have antinutrients that can bind the nutrients we eat making them unavailable. I've always been concerned about feeding animals that I never stopped to consider what's happens to our health when we consume plants and grains. It's been an eye opener. Raw egg white does the same thing; avidin in raw egg white binds biotin and prevents absorption. Heat deactivates it.

I think as with any diet, you should eat what works for you. :)
I've never met a plant based who has had those issues. There's a lot in my area. Everyone makes sure they get their daily dose of nutrients. A lot of us have gone to specialists who tell us how to eat correctly so we can maintain the health of our bodies. My blood gets tested monthly so I know I'm on track. It's a lot of maintenance to do it because you have to have responsibility to ensure to keep track of everything in the beginning.

Any diet I guess could do all that to you if you're not getting the vitamins and nutrients that you need.

Oh my god, you're going to give me a hernia.
I'm going back to weeding.

Sorry

I really did not think vitamins were this dangerous. I will stop taking them all.

Well, except the two for the migraines which really do seem to work and I will mention those two and the migraines when I go.

How is the weeding going?

Mine have never asked me this except on the little sheet thingy
Do you know your cholesterol levels? Blood pressure?

Last month when I had a the blood work crap done I found out my one vitamin level was off.
I was thinking I would have to start taking a multivitamin.
Dr said no...just take the one I need more of.

How is it careless to take a few vitamins!? What!? This is ridiculous. Almost everyone I’ve ever met buys and takes vitamins occasionally. Hell, my mom bought most of these. And they’ve never told their doctor either. It’s vitamins. Of all the bad things I could be doing, I really don’t think this is that bad. I’ll tell the doctor next appointment if it would make everyone happy but I really don’t see why everyone always freaks out over the tiniest things. And always with me. I guarantee if anyone else had said some of the stuff I do, no one would even bat an eye.

I could be a murderer, a shop lifter, an alcoholic, doing cocaine or some other drug, and I’m literally not. I spend too much time on my phone and take a few too many vitamins maybe and that’s it. It could be a hell of a lot worse.
I'm saying you not telling your doctor what you are putting in your body is very careless. Not that you take vitamins... Some day you'll understand for now you've taken it to the extreme and misconstrued my words to what you want.

Doubt it. Think you have to ask to get them checked when you're her age.
