@Kiki they've canceled schools around here for 2 weeks. All sports are being stopped too. My poor youngest is so sad about swim team he was telling me yesterday all the places I need to avoid... He knows more about this than me. He's worried about my parents and me getting sick. He knows way too much about this whole thing even down to the nitty gritty numbers.

Have a talk with him and reassure him that you have a plan to try to keep your family safe and healthy. Let him know that you have already thought about this and will do everything you can to keep your family well. And that he is welcome to ask questions which you will answer as best as you can.
I don't know his age, but he may just want to know that you have his back on this as well as everything else.

I don't want my kids to live in this craziness it makes my heart hurt. They're to precious and innocent to see all the madness going on.

Mine is 17 and needs to know now is not the time for panic and craziness . Now is the time to educate yourself and practice ways to keep yourself well, while still going on with your life as much as possible.

Think my kids are scared because I just got an immunosuppressant infusion plus I have a lung disease so they know I'm at high risk.

Yesterday they were bossing me around telling me everywhere I can and cannot go I was laughing so hard I cried.

That's so sweet that they want to take care of you. You are doing something right that they are showing you their caring so openly. If you aren't feeling great let them bring you a hot tea, or something you would like. The 15 year old will feel important and the younger one will believe they did something important even if they just followed the older one around. Boost their ego, while showing them the importance of family caring for eachother

Speaking of stress, the possum was back at about 2:15 this morning. He got away and I sat outside for about 1 and 1/2 hours. I will have to nap this afternoon, as I have been up since 2:15.
I am punch drunk about now, but Darling Husband promised he would get the possum this weekend. We shall see if the possum co operates

Oh gosh! I'm hoping he gets it. I haven't seen one since the zombie one we had last year who was scratching at my door. I think we had a skunk nearby yesterday because I could smell one.

Make sure YOU know the true numbers so you can console him. The media is spinning this to make it more dramatic and dangerous than it is. Ratings. The flu is always dangerous, and especially for your sake and that of other immune-compromised people, I'm glad they're sending the kids home. They should do that every flu season. But the media exaggerate to the point of absolute lying. It's disgusting. Frightening little children like this--and also scaring beyond any reasonable need, the teachers of little children.

He knew more about it than I did and he told me his teachers have been talking about it for weeks.

My husband was looking at the numbers of people who have lived from it and he was asking why they're not showing that number.
