We Quit Cigarettes

NO NO NO... Stay strong. You don't need alcohol. I used to drink... A lot. Alcoholism runs in my family. I stopped because my husband quit drinking and we said we would do it together. I used to drink to numb my life after I got my diagnosis. I didn't want to remember that my disease ends in death and there's no other alternative.
Wow.
Thank you for your perspective. Clears the air a bit.

Alcoholism runs in mine also (Irish with American Indian and history). So while we make light of it at times, it is a serious issue. All these items are serious. Applause to all who are battling and winning. Hugs to all that need one. Encouragement to those in need. The fight won't end, but that doesn't mean you should stop fighting.

So with occasional tiffs, but on the whole rollicking, they drew near the Neverland; for after many moons they did reach it, and, what is more, they had been going pretty straight all the time, not perhaps so much owing to the guidance of Peter or Tink as because the land was out looking for them. It is only thus that anyone may sight those magic shores.

-J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

And then one for @electrycmonk:
Why does Peter Pan always fly?
Cause he can Neverland.

@RUNuts Beware HEB is 65&up only now until 9 am.

Are you calling me old? ;) And do they have armed guards at the doors? If they do, mug the old people as they come out with the toilet paper! Chaos! Anarky-malarky! Get the toilet paper! :lau

Or, to the entrepreneurs, take an old person shopping with you day!

Seriously, we have showers and water hoses. Make your own bidet. Get fancy and use warm water. Your behind will thank you. No more irritated ... anyway...

Went Krogering yesterday. Pitiful. Why must you buy up all the onions? No bread, but plenty of flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Guess what? That IS bread. I don't understand.

The bean isle was ransacked. Someone is thinking. Beans and rice still on the shelves.

If anyone needs a bread recipe:
3 cups flour - I mix 1 cup whole wheat with 2 cups bread flour for taste and texture
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons yeast
1 cup and a little bit warm water.

Stir into a dough, not too sticky and not too dry. Cover with damp cloth and let rise 1 hour.
Knead and form into loaf (rectangle for most, boule or french loaf). place on oiled pan or sheet and let rise another hour.
Bake at 400°F for 23 minute in preheated oven or 32 minutes from a cold oven or until brown enough to suit you.

Eat with butter, jam, cream cheese or what ever tantalizes your taste buds.

Odd, yeast is one of the few things completely gone here.

No beans, rice, flour, sugar or salt over here.
I was just able to get onions but not the bell peppers I need for my dinner.

I'll try again later.
