We Quit Cigarettes

Okay, crew stand firm against all odds. I am a solitary person, but for some reason being told that I must be so rankles the spirit. Nuts, I know, but I embrace that.

I remember that when I was, oh, maybe five or six, my dad had put a bottle of beer on the hood of our car. It was a green bottle, and my six-year-old self thought that it was ginger ale.

I had a similar experience with the cigarettes I lifted from my father. Wish I could say the same about the whiskey.

I need Muscovies--pretty, colorful ones. I hear they taste kinda like beef. 😋

To me they are leaner and have a slightly stronger taste than mallard derived breeds, but not like beef. They are my favorite 'eating' duck.

are you fairly metro-area @Kiki? Are lines any better? In Montgomery we have had no lines and pretty good stocking across the board aside from paper products and cleaning supplies.
No lines.
Bare shelves still.
They are constantly stocking the shelves but the items disappear immediately.
They have finally put a limit on almost every type of item in the store because people were just going two nuts buying all of everything.
Nutters....everyone down here is nuts.

Kiki, Kiki, Kiki - the human animal is nuts and all too frequently self serving. You know that.

Even Santa needs fresh greens! As it is currently snowing, it is not yet possible to harvest my own.
Currently snowing?!? Interesting. Very interesting. The kale is growing and the tomatoes are planted outside. Even the bananas are shooting out new leaves. Only one jalapeno plant germinated from the second sowing. Old seeds. I ate the rest. :D

I'll sow the starter pots again.

No beans, rice, flour, sugar or salt over here.
I was just able to get onions but not the bell peppers I need for my dinner.

I'll try again later.
Come across the ship channel. Saw the peppers, didn't buy any.

There ain't no summer for Santa. Snow will continue for another month. Brrr!

We always get snow in May, even sometimes in June too. Must be nice to be done with it in April.
Yep, even we get snow every decade or so. Very inconvenient. Can't imagine having to deal with it every year. Just wished the last winter had been mild enough to ripen the bananas. Lost one bunch and other isn't looking too hot. Looks like I'll get a couple bunches this year. I'm hoping!

Bananas for everyone!

Bananas can be picked green and placed in a closed bag to hasten ripening. All bananas sold in stores are harvested green.
