I put turmeric in my sweet pickle recipe. The sweet pickles are not what you think of when you think of store bought sweet pickles. For some unknown reason, they have a slightly addictive effect on people that eat them. After having them available regularly, they can cause a withdrawal effect when they are suddenly no longer available.Good point.
