We Quit Cigarettes

@ShannonR my advice would to cut back on the coffee, but not to quit cold turkey. Dropping one addiction at a time is more than enough. This was one of the things that was drummed into me when I was quitting drinking. :hugs

Is it the caffeine you're trying to quit?
I drink half/caff...
.....full strength has me crawling the walls, and not feeling well at all.
FYI last I knew decaf & "1/2 caff" coffee is actually a 35% reduction in actual count from some University research I learned of while in college. Several friends were openly acknowledged coffee snobs or 'coffee slut' as one guy called himself. He drink any coffee as long as it had caffine in it.
 
Extra calories from all the milk and sugar I dump in it. At least with tea, I can cut out the milk😂

Almond milk is ~50-80 Cal per 1 cup. Depends on brand and extras like vanilla etc.

I don't put fake milk in it, it doesn't really cream the mud that I make and like to call "coffee".
Hmmmmm, lemme challenge you to test coconut milk or specifically "unsweetened almond milk" from Kroger(3 variety to choose from) the "fake milk" is as thick as 'vitamin D' whole milk so it'll mud-up nicely.
My Better-half really found out that adding MCT oil to coffee is also an amazing flavor booster. I will admit to gladly enjoying that in mine too. As well as the use of real salted butter too.

No kidding, it was a surprise but very smooth tasting as well. I have done it many times since then too.
 
I recently cut coffee intake by almost half. Some days I drink more, but have really been trying to keep a lid on it.

When I quit coffee, I did it gradually. I drank it brewed so I just put in half regular and half decaf for a while. Then 3/4 decaf. After a while I noticed I wasn't drinking as much. Then I went completely decaf, and drank even less. This took several months. I didn't have a deadline date or anything, I just intended to cut down for my heart's sake (and bladder, lol). Eventually I switched to Pero, an instant hot drink made from barley. I love it! Amazon has it.

You're starting to sound like my Mom! Always adding the fake sugar products to her coffee, MCT oil, coconut milk..... I've tried it all at her house. Stevia makes me freaking gag when added to coffee. Seriously, I like plain milk and plain sugar. Not all that fancy/trendy/chemically crap.

I might try butter though.... never considered it before. Sounds gross but might be surprisingly good!
