We Quit Cigarettes

It means Drunk Driving, he blew a 0.27 when they caught him AGAIN. the judge got tired of him too and gave him 10 years for it. He's out now, maybe he learned his lesson, I don't speak to him anymore, not going to give him another chance either unless HE reaches out to me, I did what I could to help him and he did stuff like that, lied to me, let me down time and time again. Don't need friends like that. If he wants to try to rekindle the friendship, he knows how to contact me. Im 56 years old, don't have time for that childish bull....

Any behavior change you make in yourself has to be for yourself. If you do it for someone else, eventually, they will let you down. You can start off doing it for your spouse, your kids, your friends.

But one day, it'll be you and that behavior, sitting in a room, alone together, staring at each other. That's when it gets real. And you decide who wins.

Hmm, either I lay off the bottle, or I do 5 years in prison.
Let's see, which do I want?
* or O ??
Hmm.... not too hard a choice to make but yes, some people, need to hurt to activate the common sense lobe of their tiny little brains.

The sad thing is, the next to last one, the judge told him, if I see you in my court room again for ANY alcohol related incidents, I am giving you 10 years, THIS I promise you now Mr. B. But... as usual, let's act the fool, do stupid crap and when we get called out for it, stand there in front of the judge and try to play the kicked puppy act for him.

An alcoholic believes they can have just one drink and stop. They can't. Their addiction lies to them. They're not stupid. They're not bad. Their brains are poisoned.

Yes their brains ARE poisoned, BUT, so many of their 'kin' have figured that out, realized it, understood it, what it takes to CURE that poison, and did so and moved on. I have NO sympathy for recurring DUI / DWI people.

This topic is about cigarettes, and I fully understand addiction bla bla woof. I get it all. When your bad habit just kills YOU... ok whatever. but when your bad habit can take the lives of other people around you. NO, I will NOT help you hide it. I will help you get over it, fix your life, your family, etc but will not help you fix the excuse you use to hide your problem.

Some say cigarette's are a victimless crime, I have to say BS. You leave behind wives, husbands, children who NEED a loving parent to grow and mature properly etc, THEY are the victims of your habit. While there are not as many driving while smoking deaths as there are driving while intoxicated deaths. if you look at the grander scale, past the immediately caused death statistic.. I bet BOTH cigs and booze claim just as many lives, and leave just as many children crying at night saying Why God? What did I do wrong that you punish me by taking Mommy / Daddy?

Ill stop now before I piss off too many people.
