We won at the fair!

Sorry ya'll. I'll get the pictures downloaded as soon as I can. I've been helping my daughters best friends grand parents move. The house they were renting was forclosed on and the landlord didn't tell them. They only have until Thursday to be out and all their furniture is the really old HEAVY, HEAVY, REALLY HEAVY stuff.

I wish our turkey had gotten Grand instead of 2nd. That one sold for $1050, but I'm not going to complain.

That's awesome! My kids are bugging me about getting to enter chickens someday. Right now they'll just have to stay with pumpkins. Must have been very exciting for your kids!

I thought that would be a nice touch. The smaller animals are always dressed up for the auction. Last year the turkey sold with a basket of potatoes, a couple ears of corn and a box of stuffing.

The rabbits enjoyed the fixings when the chicken was back in her cage. We weighed the chickens before we left the fair and they were 8 3/4, 9, 10 and 10 1/2lbs. Biggest we've had.

Yes they are. It's a local chili/onion processing plant, they are at the auction every year. I think they bought 4 animals this year (ours was the cheapest) and they gave all the animals back to the kids.
