Weak eggshells

so we've got this older chicken who consistently lays eggs that are so weak they are usually broken by the time we get to them. We've been giving them things like ground eggshells and oyster shells, but so far no results. Should we continue upping their calcium intake, or could there be an underlying more SINISTER problem here?
 
The ones about her age don't have this problem. At least we're pretty sure about their age. Thank you!

How old is she?
She looks to be a red/gold sexlink?
They can slow down/wear out at about 2-3 years.

Has she always laid funky eggs?
I have a hen that has always laid funky eggs and often so thin they break in nests.
None of the others do, so it's not necessarily the diet,
but the bird is not uptaking/processing nutrients efficiently.
