I am new to hatching. The process seems to be going well because I am at Day 27 with two very healthy Cayuga ducklings. I ordered a mixed breed batch of 20 eggs with 12 left to date. However, the third duckling was slower to hatch than the rest with some blood and now appears very weak, smaller, is unable to stand and one wing is slightly bent outward. During hatching his sibling kept prodding at him (unsure if that is important or not). He keeps moving his legs along the floor but only manages to flail in a circle. This may be because of the yoke residue on the incubator floor (Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco) or his inability to move his body in the correct way...? He has been hatched for about 4 hours.
He is a lively little fellow, chirping and desperately trying to stand. Don't want to lose him...
