Garden Peas, it happened again while I was just reading your last post. I hate computer issues!

We've spent a bit of time tracking this down and have been pretty sweeping with our blocks. We believe we've got it covered and will continue to monitor.

There's also been the one from Dr. Oz, but I haven't seen it in a little while.

But I'm sad to report these things are still slipping through.

@Nifty-Chicken , it's escalating again... it only goes a minute or two, or sometimes seconds before it diverts me from the BYC page. I'm gonna shut down before (hopefully before) my computer gets fried.

Well, don't feel bad, it's not a computer "problem" -- it's a malware/malvertising ATTACK. So system administrator folks just have to figure out how to block. Read the CNN Money article about HuffPo attacks, it's not easy to stop them.

I'm grateful they are working on it.

Me too! BYC has terrific support (I'm just bummed that it's "interrupting my regularly scheduled program" thing.)

It took me 3 tries to post this link to one of the pages that pop up, it is getting harder to post on BYC without the interruptions.

I have also sent everything to Bitdefender, since whatever this stuff is messed with my computer and crashed my antivirus software and damaged my firewall. Plus ran some stuff they asked for and sent that info too. I'm still updating antivirus software (I've lost track how many updates they've put out today -- a lot!) and running full system scan, no luck.

When I'm done with that, gonna do the start up in safe mode and try the malwarebytes software, I think.

Good luck getting it intercepted and stopped.... I think this must be a very broad, sophisticated attack in the malvertising, not some BYC inattentiveness problem. There's too many other websites getting nailed, as the article mentions...
