Webcam in the bator...hatch done...cam in the brooder - Thanks all!

The flooring is that plastic stuff you buy to line drawers with to keep stuff from slipping around. I was wondering if it might be too sticky for their feet? But they seem to be doing fine.

There are a bunch of wobbly necks in there now. Is the egg right in front of the cam zipped? I haven't seen it move.

yay! more eggs! HI ARLEE'S HAND!

the egg was empty - that was the barred rock's egg that's running around in there now...

I've got ONE more pipped finally - I've moved it in front of the cam. There is one more I saw movement in earlier today, so we might have two more babies if we keep our fingers crossed!

I was glad to see after I got home from church meeting that the one that I helped get unstuck earlier today is looking much more lively. I was sure worried about that one - she was very tired after the day's struggles I'm sure.

Oh, and that is rubber shelf liner stuff. I got the idea from some one else here on the list - can't remember who at the moment - and it works great to keep them off the grid.

I just toss it when they are done.

Great idea, the rubber shelf lining. So many fabulous ideas on this board...okay, back our regularly scheduled chick program..

Yes, I got the suggestion for the rubber shelf liner from Cynthia/speckledhen, too. Thanks, Cynthia! I'm sure it made cleaning up the incubator easier and kept the chicks from slipping around on their wobbly, newborn legs.

I just looked at the Chick-N-Cam. I couldn't help noticing the little bits of egg shell from the previous hatches on the floor of the incubator. The egg shells look like someone threw a big party and then left the trash or confetti all over the floor.

When the newly hatched chicks were still in there, it looked liked the party was at a peak with the party participants stumbling around.

What kind of wild, party animal chickens are you hatching over there, Arlee?

Just kidding. You've got some really cute baby chicks. Thanks for sharing with everyone by setting up the Chick-N-Cam.
