us too. If cups and plates fell, you stayed still....now when the flat screen goes, you run! My older 3 kids use to sleep through them! now we live in WA and had a 4.8 and everone was screaming and running, i just laughed!
Its so funny. I've lived here in CA my whole life and I have NEVER felt a quake. I've been in the house when one has hit, and others felt it, but I never do. Its frustrating as heck, I would like to sometime!
Never been in one, dont get many here in Texas I reckon. Have watched tornados go on by though. Lived through a few hurricanes. Heck, round here we have hurricane parties.
We had a small one in Michigan that could actually be felt last year. People don't usually equate Michigan with earthquakes, but we do have a fault line here that sometimes causes them.
I missed all the excitement that day because I was asleep.

we used to have hurricane parties in Florida. )04 was a good year lots of parties. THree in one month!!! Charlie was fun but didnt last long, we stood out there until the shingles and siding came flying the two others were just annoying, strong winds for wayyy too long, not destructive just a hard blow.
Several years ago we felt one here in north Ga. It was pretty wild. It was just a tiny one but it still woke us all up and DS started yellin for his daddy.
