Nutmeg: Looks Boy yet i'm thinking girl Eclipse: :barnie Comb is screaming girl...for now... Pebbles: Girl for sure!
Thanks for the edit! Really hoping for pullet...
I am guessing you have 2 pullets and 1 cockerel. Looking forward to updates!
:fl

I really wish I had gotten them dna sexed but it don’t really want to hurt them, and now I think it’s better to wait.

I personally choose not to DNA test…good luck! Hoping for at least 2 girls! We have a few chicks right now (7). I am thinking atleast 4 females (they are still too young though and it’s mainly wishful thinking).

I knew it was a bit of a gamble to get 3 silkies since there’s a 50:50 of getting a cockerel... but I’m still hoping for 2 pullets. I’m glad it seems at least Pebbles is a pullet!

Do you (or anyone) know if silkie cockerels feather slower than pullets? Just wondering because Eclipse doesn’t have any head fluff and still has bits of baby fuzz (though it’s hard to tell since they’re so fluffy anyway)

Ok! 8 week photos! I forgot to wet Pebbles and Eclipses crest, but remembered for nutmeg at the last moment. I’ll include a few photos of her with her crest both pushed back and dry and fluffy.

Nutmeg: (Partridge)
Dry, fluffy.

And then I don’t know why, but I got photos of the back of each of their heads.

Nutmeg is a buff, not a partridge.
