Meet Myrtle. She's a week old Polish chick who got a pretty bad pecking injury to her eye (long story). She is now isolated. I've been cleaning it 2-3x a day with Vetericyn and antibiotic ointment.

My questions: does it look infected? Is there anything else I should be doing?

Eating, drinking, pooping, running around as normal.

The goop is ointment, but she can't fully close her eye.

Ouch! Poor little chick. It sounds like you're doing all you can. How long has she been hurt? The swelling should go down after a few days.
Thank you for replying! This is day 3. I've not had an injured bird before ( other than bumblefoot). I am not sure what it's supposed to look like, and it seemed like it was getting more swollen in spite of my efforts.

Is there anything else I need to be doing? I am absolutely in love with this little chick. I want to do everything right.

So here is her eye this morning. The swelling appears to be getting worse. I can no longer see her eye (I know it's in there, though!). Does this look like it is healing? The blue is blue kote I put on her comb, which was also injured.

This poor thing. She's been through so much already. Still acting fine, but I can tell the lack of sight in the affected eye is making it a little hard for her to navigate. I have had her on paper towels this whole time so bedding material doesn't make that injury worse.

Yeah - I am drawing a blank. Normally, I would expect to see some improvement. I am worried it's an infection, but I don't see pus.
With all that swelling, I'd think it was infected, but it's been days. It should have started going down by now.
