I have five, 8 week old chicks, who have been outside in the run/coop 24/7 for 2 weeks, and seem well adjusted. The coop is located within the run, and is very predator secure (1/2 inch welded wire, metal roof, predator skirt). We would like to go away for two days (leaving the interior door open for coop/run access) and I’m feeling nervous about this. Any tips on how to set things up for them? Extra waterer and feeder in the run, just in case? I will ask a neighbor to check on them at least once, but I’m still feeling “bad” about going away. Any words of wisdom/encouragement would be great! Thanks!
