*weep*. I lost one of my beautiful English Orps today.

Losing our friends is part of life, I know. All living things die... well, apparently everything except amoebas. I wonder if the size of these chickens makes a difference, or perhaps the "over breeding" or lack of genetic diversity makes them prime candidates for problems.

I don't know. I'm just sad it happened to her. And me.

Lots of factors contribute to that specific illness. I personally am not sure what caused my case of EYP, but it’s possible it was the extreme temperatures we were experiencing that month. It was hovering in the 90s and above, it took a pretty big toll on my girls.
