Weight loss while moulting??

One of my hens is going through a major molt right now and seems to have lost alot of weight also. Is it normal for them to loose weight during a moult? Fyi she is worm and mite free.

Both of mine lost weight while molting. They looked really bad. But now their feathers are coming in and they are looking much better.

Yes, sometimes alarmingly so. Once the feathers are most of the way grown back, they start gaining weight again, barring other issues.

put her on some grower some thing with a higher protine content for a few weeks mix her layer feed in it after a few days and give her a vitiam E open the gel cap and squirt in to mouth also give BOSS.
