weird chick

hello! my first batch of chicks hatched today! i hatched barred rock chicks. barred rock chicks are supposed to be black but their is one weird chick that is yellow. any help figuring out what happened with this chick or why it is yellow would be great!

Do you have any pics? Did you get the eggs from a hatchery? Could be that an egg from another breed accidentally got mixed in or could be a recessive white rock gene in the parents.

That’s the weird thing i have all barred rocks in the pen with the barred rock rooster the eggs came from my house

Most likely a recessive white gene. I have a pair of partridge silkies that hatch a white chick about 1 out of 10 times.
